nextstep can help you with information and advice on learning and work.

If you are an adult and have yet to achieve a level 2 qualification or have yet to achieve a full level 3 qualification where you are referred from Jobcentre Plus, learndirect-advice, or you have out dated qualifications, facing redundancy, or meet the regional skills priority areas i.e. Construction, Health & Social Care and IT you can take advantage of the nextstep Advice Service which offers free one to one face to face and telephone help with a qualified adviser.

Overall satisfaction is high within York and North Yorkshire. The percentage of satisfied clients is 13% higher than the national average. (Independent Evaluation of the nextstep service 2007)

90% of nextstep clients found the service easy to access 93% of clients were satisfied that their advisor understood their needs and circumstances 59% of clients followed up after 6 months had gone into learning and work after their nextstep discussion.
